A midweek break to slow the rushed weekend pace down. Some of our fondest memories are of holidays together with friends and family.

Edinburgh & Scotland promises the most unforgettable! Especially when you can leave it to us here at 94DR and our extended family of contacts to arrange it all… getting the balance between relaxing and discovering just right. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can look forward to…

MONDAY

Hello & welcome.

Check-in for your mid week stay at 94DR… The house’s charm will immediately draw you in. You’ll be greeted with welcome drinks by your host for a brief house orientation and a chance to ask any questions and arrange the finer details for your stay.

Supper at your Edinburgh home.

We’ll have arranged a delicious two-course supper to be prepared and ready for you to heat & serve. So you’ll have plenty of time to catch up and relax together.

Our supper favourites: Scottish Border’s lamb tagine, citrus, and pomegranate couscous, served with flatbreads. Followed by rosewater and strawberry pavlova.

Enjoy an after supper dram in the library, before sinking in bed for a good night’s sleep.

GOOD REASONS

Must do: Arthur's Seat

On your doorstep at 94DR and viewable from the house.  A 30-minute hike through beautiful Holyrood Park will bring you atop the now dormant volcano where Arthur’s Seat rests. Described by Robert Louis Stevenson as “a hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design. From here you will be rewarded with the most dramatic 360-degree view of Edinburgh in all its splendour.

Explore the CIty

You’ll take a private guided walking tour of the City’s Old Town and Royal Mile with our friends at Mercat Tours, their colourful guides give the best tours filled with history and stories and can be tailored to reflect your interests from history and legend to Harry Potter and literature.

Enjoy a light lunch in town (we’ll recommend great spots). You’ll have the afternoon free to explore the City: enjoy a spot of shopping, visit one of Edinburgh’s world-famous museums or galleries or just marvel at the fabulous architecture and soak up the atmosphere of Scotland’s capital city.

Dine out in style
The Scottish capital has developed into a genuine foodie destination, let us book you into one of our favourite Edinburgh restaurants; fine dining at 21212 or Timberyard or something more relaxed like The Scran & Scallie, Gardener’s Cottage or The Outsider.

Head onwards to Sandy Bells for some genuine Scottish pub hospitality and late-night folk music.

Tumble into bed late for some well-earned sweet dreams.

Zzzzzzz!
