FRIDAY 

 

Hello & welcome. 

Check-in for for your weeks stay at 94DR… The house’s charm will immediately draw you in. You’ll be greeted with welcome drinks by your host for a brief house orientation and a chance to ask any questions and arrange the finer details for your stay.  

Supper at your Edinburgh home.

We’ll have arranged a delicious two-course supper to be prepared and ready for you to heat & serve. So you’ll have plenty of time to catch up and relax together. 

 

Our supper favourites: Beef Bourguignon, buttery mashed potatoes, seasonal salad & crusty baguettes. Followed by tarte aux pommes and crème fraîche!

 

Enjoy an after supper dram in the library, before sinking in bed for a good night’s sleep.

One of our all-time Edinburgh’s favourites. Family-run by the charming Radfords, it’s an amazing space serving awesome food. Ingredients are foraged and sourced from small artisan growers and suppliers, often unexpected always surprising, the creativity and attention to detail are second-to-none.

Discover Edinburgh

You’ll take a private guided walking tour of the City’s Old Town and Royal Mile with our friends at Mercat Tours, their colourful guides give the best tours filled with history and stories and can be tailored to reflect your interests from history and legend to Harry Potter and literature. 

 

Enjoy a light lunch in town (we’ll recommend great spots). You’ll have the afternoon free to explore the City: enjoy a spot of shopping, visit one of Edinburgh’s world-famous museums or galleries or just marvel at the fabulous architecture and soak up the atmosphere of Scotland’s capital city. 

Dinner is served! 

Join your group for pre-dinner drinks and canapés before enjoying a private chef-cooked fine dining 4-course dinner celebrating the best of Scotland’s flavours. You’ll be spoiled by attentive staff and served matching wines specially selected by our experts at L’art du Vin.

You’ll be joined during dinner by one of the city’s finest storytellers who will regale you with stories of the City and Scottish folklore.

SUNDAY 

 

A long lie and a lazy breakfast.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast cook by your breakfast chef. Choose from a seasonal special or if you must the full ‘Scottish’! 

Blow the cobwebs away with a walk-in nearby Holyrood Park from here you can explore Duddingston Village and Dr Neils Garden (don’t miss grabbing a beer at The Sheep’s Heid, Edinburgh’s oldest pub), tour the Queen’s residence and gallery at Holyrood Palace or see inside our love-hate modernist Scottish Parliament. 

 

2 PM – Distillery tour & tasting

We’ve arranged a private tour of Holyrood Distillery. Enjoying a guided flavour-forward experience, you will learn how gin and whisky are made, and about both the traditions and innovative new methods in craft distilling employed at Holyrood – Scotland’s newest distillery! This is a hands-on sensory experience, taking in both the gin and whisky distilleries, with opportunities for tasting and nosing throughout.

 

Alfresco dining

Later in the afternoon return to 94DR and light the BBQ and pizza oven to enjoy a sociable afternoon into evening cooking. We’ll have delivered great steaks, seafood, and sides – all you’ll need to kick back and enjoy being together in your private garden and terrace at 94DR.

MONDAY

Take the high road! 

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before your dedicated driver guide picks you up in a luxury coach from 94DR. 

 

This private tour takes you on a full-day tour into the heart of the Highlands. You’ll discover secret sights and hidden gems while exploring Scotland’s incredible history and impressive castles. We’ve packed you a mouth-watering picnic that you can enjoy marvelling at the awe-inspiring scenery you’ll encounter along the way. 

 

Arrive back at 94DR to find supper waiting for you! 

TUESDAY 

 

Time to tee off! 

There can be few more perfect places to play golf or have a golf break in the world than Scotland’s Golf Coast. With 21 golf courses along 30 miles of stunning coastline just 30 minutes from 94DR. East Lothian is one of Scotland’s most beautiful locations and with the greatest concentration of Championship links courses in the world. Dunbar, North Berwick, Musselburgh, Gullane and The Open Championship course at Muirfield. We can arrange tee times and transportation to and from the courses as required.

Shopping for luxury, in luxury

Embark on a high-end Scottish shopping experience with a private chauffeur. This day tour will cover Edinburgh’s shopping highlights with some of Scotland’s best wares, including tweeds, tartans, cashmere, and country clothing. Your private chauffeur will escort you from door to door in luxury and will look after your bags between each shopping venture. A bottle of chilled champagne will also be available to toast your successful purchases.

 

Dine out in style

The Scottish capital has developed into a genuine foodie destination, let us book you into one of our favourite Edinburgh restaurants; fine dining at 21212 or Timberyard or something more relaxed like The Scran & Scallie, Gardener’s Cottage or The Outsider.   

WEDNESDAY 

 

Tasting & trying

Our friends and family at Scottish Food and Drink Trails organise private tours that celebrate Scotland’s larder. We recommend taking the day with them exploring the Scottish borders. Start with an hour at D’Vincci Code famed Rosslyn Chapel before heading deep into Border country. From bread-makers to charcuterie creators, and from cheese-makers to brewers, the Borders is awash with delicious artisan produce.

 

In the evening join Paul for a “Scottish” cookery class at 94DR and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a glass of two or perfectly matched wines.

THURSDAY

 

City day
Edinburgh’s Cultural Treasures. Today you can enjoy a superb blend of history and culture as you see some of the city’s most famous sights. Home to some of the world’s most famous art, The National Galleries of Scotland comprises three galleries in Edinburgh: National Gallery, Portrait Gallery, and Gallery of Modern Art. We can also offer bespoke tours if you have a theme in mind. All tours are led by experienced art educators. 

 

Enjoy Edinburgh’s finest afternoon tea 

Located in the historic splendour of The Signet Library in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, close to St Giles Cathedral, is a truly unique destination, known as one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian buildings, and the ornate columns, elaborate soaring ceiling and incomparably elegant interior make this a wonderful setting for the finest afternoon tea. 

 

Edinburgh Castle full access tour 

Later in the day is the best time to enjoy Edinburgh’s landmark attraction. Ready to know more about the rulers of Scotland? Trace the origin of Castle Rock and hear the tales of power, betrayal & revenge that took place in Edinburgh Castle. Explore this awe-inspiring castle from within and watch centuries of history come to life, all on this full-access private tour.
